I did consider that the yarn wouldn't last too long. I'm hoping to redo with real netting next spring with the help of some kiddos. They just weren't available when I got my hawk scare and decided to go with the yarn temporarily...so far, so good!
Yes, the others are all roos....some I hatched and that was not as surprising but the one I specifically ordered to be a lady is not....nor is his brother.....that's surprising. :barnie
Can someone verify that the bird in the front left is a roo? I ordered 3 ladies and I think I got two roos. The one in the back (not the barred mix) is one of the others. I thought Meyer had a guarantee on their birds as far as sexing them. Thanks!
Thank you so much for the great reply! I've already got 2 windows to install, hopefully this week because that was bothering me. I think I'm going to install a solar auto door, not sure on that yet. I'm definitely going to go with the pvc feeders....I have 30 chickens in that coop which seems...
Another set from the eggs I hatched from a BCM rooster and assorted hens...(I believe she said the hens were "pure" varieties...her goal was olive eggers. These two "blue" birds have beautiful color and one has a short crest. I'm so hoping they are both ladies. The birds in the first pic have...
BCM roo over assorted hens...her goal was olive eggers. This looks like barred rock, but has a crest? Do you think boy or girl? Approximately 8 weeks old. What other breeds are crested like legbars? Thanks!
What do you think of these? I'm almost 100% sure the first one is a she and is NOT 100% BCM?.....I know the farm I got them from was running a 100% BCM roo with BCM hens, and other assorted pure hens...barred rock and not sure of the others...Her goal was Olive Eggers.
Wow, I think I may have 8 BCM roosters! I think they should be easy to rehome tho....I plan on keeping one. Will decide who stays when they get a bit older. Thanks for the help!
