Hello everyone, I would like to share a new chicken tractor I have built as a prototype for a product I would like to eventually be able to provide to anyone who wants to be able to sustainably raise backyard chickens without any reliance on infrastructure. This coop was built after lots of personal experience raising pastured broilers and layers using tractors I build with wood and tarps, so I am well aware of what the typical tractor user experiences on a daily basis! I feel like there is a need for more advanced style tractors for lots of individuals who may not have the time or ability to take care of the chores that are involved with rotating birds on a pasture, and that is the issue I am primarily attempting to address. I would like to make backyard chickens more available for everybody and help eliminate the need for reliance and increase the number of independent homesteaders and farmers. There are lots of functions included within the coop such as automated water, automated feed, automated lighting, fans, and integrated hydraulics. All of these functions help automate daily labor and chores and reduce them from twice daily to once weekly, which has definitely helped me save time! It is 10 x 12 for those who are curious and can be moved with ease. This coop has also eliminated all of my flock loss for reasons whether they be weather or predatory in nature, and this has really lowered my stress when worrying about the flock during the night.
