2 of my rhoad Island reds (pics are of one of them as the other one doesn’t like her picture taken lol) started to slowly lose feathers last fall on their neck and breast. It’s April and they are still Slowly losing them. Can a slow molt last this long? My other chickens had a much quicker molt and this is my first time experiencing this. They continue to lay eggs and eat and drink normally. No signs or symptoms of mites, lice, or parasites. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

I occasionally see a hen going through a neck molt in the spring. They do the full molt in the fall than in the spring they do a small molt that is just around the neck. It's normal here.
