Well, I couldn't wait. I hung my 7 cages in one of my 3 sided barns, contacted a local breeder, and bought a pedigreed trio of NZWs. I bred the larger doe the next evening, then the smaller doe the day after. I'm looking forward to having kits in February. Wife and I are already talking about adding 2 more breeders this spring. In April, there is a rabbit show near us so I think we will try to attend. We would like something with a little color (Am chinchilla, silver fox, or NZ red/black)
My father used to raise rabbits, he had 500 breeding does, on top of his mink and chinchillas. dad is actually a bit excited to be back around some rabbits again.
