New chick mom with injured chick

(1) i am a first time chicken mom. I just picked up my chicks yesterday. They are 19 days old today. We have a total of 15 baby chicks. I have barred Plymoth rock , black laced gold Wyandotte, light Brahma, and Rhode Island Red chicks. I’m excited to start this farm life with my kids and teach them the skill of raising animals. I am also starting a full garden in my yard as well.

I ran into this forum when searching for information to care for one of my chicks. My son stepped on her and she can’t hold her head up really unless she’s flapping around. Then she isn’t walking around like before. I separated her from the others and this morning they were cuddled up through the wall between them.

Any advice would be greatly helpful.

Treat the injured chick with warmed sugar water and keep it warm. Time will tell if the injuries are permanent or if the chick will heal.
