 I have a goose question. My Harriet has made a nest of about 15 eggs. She started setting 3 days ago. She gets off the nest twice a day to eat/drink/socialize with Ozzie. She is off the nest for about an hour at a time. Is that too long. I am afraid the eggs will get cold and stop developing.

I doubt it. I haven't raised geese, but I read an article in a magazine years ago that showed a pair of wild Canada geese guarding their flooded nest-the eggs were mostly under water. Later, when the water went down, they went back to brooding, and hatched every one!

Harriet had alot more than 15 eggs. I was pulling some of them because they overflowed the nest. I pulled the oldest weekly. She has been laying since end of Feb. We ate some of her eggs, but I really wanted her to set
