Hi, I am new here and a widow living on SSI so don't have much in the way of income. I just lost half my flock when my little grandson didn't get the latch to the coop completely closed. I am not blaming him since I should have checked but now all but one of my beautiful Black Australorp hens are gone as well as alot of others I had gotten from a neighbor who moved. Besides the Blk. Australorps I have raised Silver Laced Wyandottes and some reds which I am not sure what they are since I got them from my SIL who didn't know. Now all I have left are a few of these along with the BA above and a couple of SLW's. Can someone tell me where I can purchase some pullets somewhere near me so as to have eggs in shorter time? I live in S.E. Idaho so it would have to be near or within 50-100 miles at the most. Thanks for listening and I hope to contribute my limited knowledge as well.
