We just got four week-old chicks from our local farm store yesterday and are wondering if we still have time to add one more to that flock. Any guesses as to -- if we went back to the farm store tomorrow and got one more from the same "delivery" -- would the four we already have gang up on them? It'd be the same breed, but we're worried a solo chick would get picked on too much.

I would not expect any problems from adding one more of the same age/size/breed to the four you already got, when they are only a week old. If you can't find an exact match, a different breed and/or a slightly older chick should be fine as well. If you get newly-shipped chicks I would probably try for two or three rather than just one.
