Well, it was a happy Christmas at our home yesterday...I'm finally getting chickens! (And in preparation, I was told to join this forum!)
My family and I live in central MN - me, hubby, and two boys (ages almost 5 and almost 6). We currently share a home with my parents as the six of us together look for a farm site farther out from our current place. We enjoy self-sufficiency...people joke that we were self-sufficient before it was the "in thing" to do.
We've given up on trying to convince the other relatives that we aren't crazy. Truly, it's their loss!
I've been asking for chickens for almost an enternity and am ecstatic to be finally entering the world of chicken insanity. Looking forward to learning from all of you!! I kind of feel like y'all might be "my peeps"....
