Feeding mead sediment to my birds

Besides raising some chicks, I am also a beekeeper and have taken up making mead out of some of my honey. I am wondering if there is any danger in feeding the leftover sediment from the bottom of the mead to my birds. Basically, it is nothing more than dead leftover yeast and the remains of any fruit we've added to the mead. This last batch was blueberry and I've got approximately 1 cup of sediment. It doesn't affect us as humans to consume it, but was concerned about feeding it to the girls. Thanks for any reply.

Does it provide any nutritional value? Chicks need all of the nutrition they can get to grow up healthy. There is a good amount of yeast, but we typically don't feed that to chickens. Alcohol is a toxin, so I definitely wouldn't unless it was fully dried.

Maybe it would be better for compost since it is still organic matter and you would still get value from it.
