One of my six week old cochins is acting strange. I just got back from vacation and I noticed he kept hiding in the corner of the brooder I just went outside and he was laying like he was dead but once I picked him up he perked up. He has a small scratch or something on his comb and I’m concerned he’s being bullied. We have 3 other cochin cockerels and he is by far the largest so that confused me. Here are some pictures

If you suspect he's getting pecked you can put a lotion on the area that he's most pecked it's called peck no more. It smells so strong when the bully goes to peck him he smells the lotion and stops pecking ( it is strong) its only a couple dollars at tractor supply. I use it on my hens that are getting pecked on. The lotion helps to heal the sore as well. Hope this helps you out. It's helped me out in the past. In fact just got more for my new flock. Works good. Let us know how it does.

Just because he is bigger than the other cockerels does not mean he will be the most dominant-even though it seems like it would be the opposite, I have seen bantam roosters scare off large fowl roosters many times before. Sorry, I am not sure how to treat him, I will let other people comment on that part. Separate him for now so he does not get pecked on worse, he could be killed if they continue on with the negative behavior.
