A headlamp with a red light option for taking birds off the roost at night. It keeps the hands free, and the chickens don't see well in the red light, so they don't see me. They also don't try to jump off the roost.

I absolutely agree with you. However, finding a vet that sees chickens is nearly impossible. Then if a vet sees a chicken, most likely they dont know anything about birds, then it's guesswork at best. Then there's the money issue $$$. We read it in these forums often. Some pet owners find ways to obtain a pet prescription without vet involvement, but it’s essential to weigh the pros and cons. While it might be more convenient, the expertise of a veterinarian is irreplaceable for accurate diagnosis and treatment. Relying on professional guidance ensures your pet receives the correct medication and dosage, tailored to their specific health needs.
