anyone here from gansevoort / northumberland ny or chatham ny know if chickens are allowed?

we are looking for land in the albany ny area. northumbria/gansevoort and chatham are two areas I can find land but they have zero info about chicken regulations. i want to make sure i do not buy somewhere where chickens are highly regulated
