as long as those will do ok together...? Or do you think the Drake should be a different breed(KC or Rouen)

Sounds like a good mix! There's no reason they wouldn't all do well together, especially if you're getting them as hatchlings and raising them together.

My only concern is breeding reasons... I don't want a bigger drake then my hens! No injured hens!!!

I think they will all do Good together. At one time I different kinds of ducks and they all did fine.

I'm not concerned about them getting along, I'm worried about mating reasons. I don't want a heavier drake then my hens!

Why do you want a drake? I assume you aren't breeding with a mix flock. Drakes are more hassles. I have two drakes in a mixed flock. I got my Rouen drake because I wanted the green headed pretty boy. I got my White Crested Drake because crested females can have a hard time when there is a drake around. I love my boys but if they were both girls duck life would be easier. So if you have a reason... great! I don't regret mine. But you don't need a drake for your ducks and drakes don't lay eggs.

Do Drakes take care of their hens like Roosters do? Watching out for predators and sounding the alarm like roosters? Are Drakes pretty protective of their flock?
Mine isn't. His whole goal and purpose in life is to mate with all his females. He does tend to keep an eye out and will quack if he sees something but he is also my most unfriendly duck and keeps an eye open because of that. My girls don't go running or even wake up when he tries to quack. Males are raspy and can't actually quack.

All the ducks are lookouts and will sound the alarm. My drake would protect the flock by being the first one eaten. He is always out front but drakes don't have spurs like roosters and although they are usually stronger than the ducks, it isn't enough to make any difference to a predator.

I didn't want to disuade you if you had a reason for a drake, but if you don't want ducklings, there isn't a flock advantage to having a drake. And since WH girls are beautiful, the difference for you would be:

Green head and possible aggression problems.
No green head and more eggs.
