I candled last night on day 11. My 5 were going good and the guy I am hatching for has 11 going good! so not horrible so far..... 16/22 I had 4 clears and 2 that quit, one quitter was a cracked on so didn't have much hope for it.

I will say that I have 85-100% hatch rates with all my candling. And that is with my shipped eggs so great odds. Most times I only have one or two quitters. IF I was finding more than that then I would think about it and probably not candle as much.

I do a full candle normally at day 3, then around day 7, then day 12-14 then day 18. BUT I candle at least a few of them normally about every other day sometimes every day. I am so bad with candling. I just can't help myself. If I make it 2 days with out candling I am so proud of myself...

my dented/cracked one that I put wax on had the same spot. looked like the "chick" but was stuck to the egg and didn't move at all. I took a pic when I candled it but didn't open it at all, wasn't taking that chance!

I would bump it to 101 and see how it is. My first one was way off so returned it and got a new one. That is off too but not as much. You can also calibrate the NR360 once you have a reliable thermometer so that it reads correct. I will see if I can find the instructions. I know they...

Did you calibrate your govee before using it? Also I have found I need my NR360 around 100 to average out around 99.5. But it was much warmer today than it has been so 99.5 seemed good today. If u need help with calibrating it since it can't get wet I can share the directions I found...

I set 21 eggs, but last time mine hatched on day 19-20 so it may be May 2nd or 3rd that they hatch. But hatch day is May 4th.
