I have chocolate loaches in my 15 gallon tank. I can't find a decent photo, so here is another picture of the Kuhlis from a year ago. I recall losing one.

I have had mixed results from my Baker Creek seeds this year. The borage and one variety of lettuce didn't germinate, even after sowing twice, BUT the Black-seeded Simpson did great, and all the squash and melons have germinated well, too.

On Sunday I did a major cleaning, 16 gallon water change on my 29g tank, a little more than 50%, but I didn't check the nitrates, they're always about 5-10ppm due to the plants. I used to dump the buckets of dirty water on my shrubs, but my gardenia is dying, and I think it's due to root rot...

It comes up all over the yard, including my raised beds. The pretty flowers for a couple weeks aren't worth the struggle to keep it under control...

My house would look like this if I didn't severely prune those invasives! :eek:

BSS has a mild, delicate flavor, but it doesn't handle heat well. When mine bolts the chickens will get a treat!

Yesterday afternoon I tied up my tomatoes. Loose knot (not slip knot!) at the base ⬆️ Drape the other end over the trellis and knot. Keep the string loose! As the main vine grows wrap the string around it. Then I pruned the bottom branches and some of the suckers to allow air...

I had cuttings from my grandmother's African violets, but the plants died years ago. I'm happy I still have descendants of my mom's primroses, though. They're really going crazy, blooming.
