I don't get them with gear down all that often. 5000 acres at last report. They're hitting it hard today to try and contain it due to high winds being forecast for tomorrow.
it really depends. We didn't get any significant winter rain, and the couple of storms we did get just pushed up grass and brush. No real rain for weeks now, so that's all dead and dying. We are expecting a bad fire season, so are most of the states in the West.
