I've been getting in the habit to water the garden in the morning when I go out to pick up the eggs. Seems to be a good routine to get into.
Have you figured out how to work a timer into your 24 volt system?
That happened with my first tomatoes I started last year. I figured out that I didn't have the LED grow lights close enough to the plants. Once they start coming up I set the light height at about a foot over the plants, and it keeps them short and stocky.
The tomato seeds started sprouting overnight, as did more of the brassicas. I trimmed out some extras and adjusted the height of the lighting over the seedlings.
My DIL pruned her black currant bush and saved several cuttings for me to plant. I'll be getting them this weekend when her, my son...
I pulled out my tiny scissors and trimmed the extra seedlings out of the starter cells. One plant per cell is the limit. LOL
And I plugged the LED growlights into a timer so the seedlings get 18 hours of light per day: ON@6am, OFF@Midnight.
Have you grown the Black Krim tomatoes before? If so, did you like them? I tried a few last year but they didn't do very well ( probably my fault). I'm trying them again this year.
I planted several varieties of seed on Wednesday. Two days later some are already sprouting! Lettuce, bok choi, broccoli and cabbage.
I got a deal on the little foam trays at Dollar General, 30 of them for $1.00. They work well as drip trays for the starter cells.
A friend of mine grew some jalapeno peppers in a garden made on an old, decomissioned chicken run- very fertile soil. The plants were 4 or 5 feet tall and a couple feet in diameter. They were loaded with peppers, with probably around 100 peppers on each plant. They were amazing plants.

One of those deer in the picture is a doe that's been getting fatter and fatter from the fawn(s) she's carrying. Two years ago she had a single one, and last spring she had twins. I'm looking forward to finding out how many she'll drop this year.
I'm getting close to starting my garden seeds...
Thanks @gtaus . The fence still keeps the deer out.
I expanded the fenced-in area last month so the last two raised beds are protected. I have one more improvement to make. I'm going to take the fencing off of the east side of one of the beds and move it 4 feet beyond the bed. That way I can...
