In about 2001 I was driving from Tulum to Coba (Mex.). It was 30 miles of jungle and a few grass huts.
I saw one man, walking with a machete in one hand and talking on a phone.
I realized at that moment, "Cell phones may not be a fad."
I don't know. I'm in my (very) late 60's and still call adults by sir or mam unless asked to do otherwise, even if they're in their 20's. (Partly because I'm terrible with names. :p)
A couple years back DD and her friend were joking about the local Community College (Delgado) and I pointed out "Every dollar I've made in the last 50 years is because of that school!" (electrical & nursing)
