I got one planting bed done with potatoes. Have been digging up soil, adding sand and manure, plus peat moss. Taking out rocks and roots. My first potato plant in another bed is up. Built a tomato cage today for 4 plants. Still need to paint more boards and tack on chicken wire, then attach...

The guys came and cut down 10 or more trees that were too close to the house. I hated it. My dogwood had to go too, despite wanting to keep it for the wild birds to land in near the feeder. Too close to the big trees. Sigh. View from the deck, towards the river.

I think I have turned into a slug! Keep trying to finish adding soil to the garden, but lots of shoveling to do still. I did get peas planted.
