    The problem here is almost all the land here is wooded. Bluebirds like open fields right? We did have a pair raising babies in a wren box i built.

    We have a pair of house wren fledglings in the barn. I think perhaps they flew out of the nest too quickly, since they are hanging around in the hay on the floor and chirping.

    When i plant seed, i cover it with bedding from the goat barn. Then birds don't see the seed. Interesting, never saw a partly white starling.

    I think my hens laid on those poults rather than sitting up. Very few survived that. I did manage to hatch some of their eggs. But seasonal layers are not very productive.

    My Turkey hens were terrible broodies, even the ones they hatched didn't survive. So, i got rid of them.

    We have bluebirds nesting in the nest box attached to our house! I made it for house wrens, but i like the bluebirds even more .

    I had a female hummer so ready to use the feeder, she didn't wait for me to hang it up. She drank out of it while i held it!
