I do, and have even tried tying bait to the bottom so he has to struggle with it a bit.. no luck. I set of a large rat trap and it got away scot free. And yes, one night he killed 7 of 9 young ones in just one pen. They kill for sport not just to eat.

Aye, that it is.. Thanks for the coffee.. I can't hold my peepers open even with toothpicks, so I suppose a nap is in order. Been outside most of the night, trying to catch/capture a weasel that's devasting my young ones. If it isn't one thing it's another.

Good Morning all, thanks for the refreshments! Had a solo chick hatch yesterday, and pulled a 4 week old silkie from the big brooder to keep it company.. Took to momma duties right quick.. The silkie is a life long care project due to cross beak. :hmm

I was surprised the first year down here.. I remember picking elderberries with my Grandma late August or so. Here they are nearly spent.. Longer growing season here,
