I used to be a total night owl. Now I'm lucky to sleep past 6am. Years of getting kids up for school has me trained, plus my husband is a very early riser. He likes to be up by 5:30. It is nice getting chores done early. In summer it's nice and cool, in winter the wind hasn't started blowing yet.

Our fence is about 7 foot tall. The turkeys are the only escape artists. I'd have to net the whole thing to keep them in. Not happening, it's a very large area. It really doesn't bother me, just annoys me when they act like they don't know how to get back over and spend the day crying and...

Mine keep getting out even though they shouldn't fit through the fence anymore. Then yesterday I observed Boyd on top of the fence with a baby 'talking' to them while another was trying to jump up there.
