Yes, That's a problem. My coop is in the Shed. I have separate places to have traps. What u should try is to put the trap in a small cage inside the coop. That way the rodents can get to it , But not the Girls.

Well, The ticks and Snakes are not coming out today !! How do you all deal with mice ( Rats) . I set traps that have peanut butter on them. They work pretty good. Most of the rodents come in to avoid the cold I think.

Hasn't been winter yet. In KC had maybe 2" of snow and have 2 days of really cold temps

I think what I will do is use drinker cups, on the side of 5 gal plastic bucket and set the bucket on concrete block, To keep it off the ground. I will keep a lid on it so very little dirt gets in. How does that sound ? I can't do water hose too many dogs I baby sit for want to chew.

I'll look into the nipple system. Just need to figure out how to hang them up off the ground

I would like some opinions. What kind of waterer do you prefer. I have used the rubber bowl and the one that you flip upside down to fill. The upside down one failed to hold water any more. ( Leaking ) the rubber gets dirty fast. I don't have access to running water to the coop.
