I've always been partial to female dogs. Maybe because most of my parent's dogs were female also. After my husband got our last dog, a full Rat Terrier, I was reminded again of why I don't like male dogs: for some reason they think they have to mark everything! He's two now. Molly is 6.
That's not her best picture. One thing I forgot to mention was that instead of the white on her nose like your dog has, Molly has a white chin. It's faintly visible in the picture. She also looks like the tip of her tail was dipped in white paint...just the very tip. That's not noticeable in...
Ours is part Border Collie also! I think that's where her white bib comes from and maybe her white feet. Yours has a white marking on her nose (although much smaller than many Border Collies). Our Molly is part Rat Terrier and part Beagle so she's really good at finding mice, shrews, voles...
Oh...I would really miss them if they closed down!!! I have to drive close to an hour (in different directions) to get to one, but there are four I can chose between. (We live about an hour from any "big city.")
Story from my dad and his siblings says that his mother did the same thing during one extreme cold snap...the horses weren't the only animals she brought in. (This would have been 60-70 years ago.)
Suppose we're too cheap... We go ahead and eat food despite some freezer burn (major freezer burn we'll toss or cut away). Food is too expensive to throw away.
My SIL thought the carrots she found this past spring were very sweet. She thought I should have just left my carrots in the garden, but I wasn't sure I wanted to do that in Michigan--at least not on purpose! DH tilled the garden and planted cover crop. It looks nice for the winter (the deer are...
My husband and daughter spend evening after school this fall digging our potatoes: 8 -- 25' rows. DH would agree that that was a lot of digging! (Our daughter used the front corner of the garden for her garden patch so the potatoes were in the back of the garden rather than in longer rows.)
My in-laws regularly get large potatoes. One potato can be enough for them and their children. Potatoes must really like their soil. Ours don't grow like that!
