No chicks at Erickson’s right now. They only have them in Spring I think. As for their prices, they’re competitive for Nutrina and Purina duck food. Shavings are like a buck more but have no sticks in them. Other stuff is more expensive, but TSC in Leominster is a bit of a drive, and their up...

Right, Nevins! I've gotten 5 ducks from them. I'd love to get a piggy there, but sadly I'm not zoned for anything but poultry.

MSPCA Nevis Farm had some up for adoption about 2 weeks ago. Might be worth a try.

Good to hear from you! Winter is going ok. I hate winter, as I have seasonal effective disorder, but I’ve been able to get out on the milder days. I added a call duck to my flock, who is in my profile pic. I’m a lot less depressed with the ducks around, that’s for sure!

Just to update my previous post, MSPCA referred me to New England Wildlife Center in Weymouth. They accepted my orphan and passed him onto another rehabber with other single ducklings. I’m glad he’s going back to the wild, even though I miss him tremendously!

Hi Everyone, I gotten custody of an orphaned wild mallard that fell out of nest high on a building. Does anyone know of any wildlife rehabs in MA that I can take it to? We called a few places but they won't take him/her. Any leads would be great before I start calling this huge list on...

Aloha! (I'm from Maynard but in Hawaii at the moment. ) Find out who your town's animal inspector is, and call them. They may want to inspect your coop annually. You may be able to find your town bylaws online by googling. Some towns don't allow Roos, like Maynard, but sometimes if no one...

Anyone on here hatch runner ducks? I'm interested in getting some in late June, but would like to avoid the trauma of shipping the little guys!

I'm a truck driver so I don't mind the trailer. Since we moved to the country, as we call it, my husband wants a truck too, which is a surprise since he's a city slicker and drives a Prius! (but he did grow up in a very rural place)

I love how people always complain that the internet is killing their business, sometimes businesses kill themselves. Ive had 2 instances where I've tried to shop locally, and it sucked! I was trying to buy something at a local store, they didn't stock, and I got an insurance quote from an agent...
