I asked at the grain place and they use it for there birds horses and goats. I go to Ventura grain in Taunton or maybe Raynham . Not sure wich town.Its under $10 for a 50 pound bag. Im sure there is different types or lime but ask them wich kind to use. Hope this helps. Scotty
