That is awful Monique! I lost all of my Orps to a dog attack last year in March. I hatched all the eggs that I had and I did hatch out some great chicks, but my heart just wasn't in it. I am so sorry that you went through that.

What beautiful babies, Jeremy! And look at the size of those legs and feet. HOLY COW!! How exciting!
Just what I was going to say! Based on that only I would say you got a really great selection of boys.

Those are from my June 20th hatch. I have quite a few boys, for sure, too. Just hoping for a few nice black girls.
Of the silkies you sent me only 2 look like they may be girls.

This is one of the most promising blue pullets ive seen in a long time. Ground colour looks good and in a few months when she has filled out i think her type will be good too, I also think she will be a much better bird as a 2/3 year old. The one thing i would say, is keep an eye on...

Hi Tonya,
What color of rooster does he or she wants?
Marc
In the past she has said she wanted black. But I am not 100% sure. She said that she has met you and your wife. If you want I can PM you her email addy.
Someone I know is looking for a 100% rooster. If you have one for sale please PM me your email address and I will have her contact you. More than likely it would need to be shipped.
Thanks!!!!

I am very upfront about what my birds are/were. That they have English blood and American blood and that when I was culling I was going for the English type. I have seen some 1/2 blood English that are...
The only person I know for sure who is breeding chocs to blacks is Marc at Heirloom. In his batch of Bantam Choc Orps he got a LF by mistake and is using his English blacks to get LF Choc splits. These are 100% English birds.
Other than that, I have no idea.
You know talking about Marc and...

In the F2s the results will be alot of culls:
Mating these F1 birds together will produce (in a large hatch)
Barred;Black;Delaware;Split gold/silver...
Well I have decided to go from Orp owner to lurker on this thread-for now. I am having to downsize on some birds and as much as it pains me I have to make the tough choices.
