I don’t make a habit of smoking them out lol so I’m not much help there. In general, birds, due to the delicate nature of their lungs don’t handle it well.
And all my LF English Orp males (bar one) are very sweet.
I lost some last year when it was over 110+ degrees. We were in a major drought. What’s your humidity like? I think the humidity makes it tougher on them.
I have some. Very limited availability. I might have more in the late fall or winter if the pullets start laying.
