I'm not sure if the pic is just at a funny angle, or if his comb is not right? It seems kind of lopsided. He's young. Just started mating a few weeks ago so I'm sure he's still growing. Think it will even out? I'll have to give him a good look tonight.

Oh my...it just is not meant to be. After a really rough hatch from Rare Feathers (not at all her fault - it's the distance between us & the post offices along the way), and then additional eggs from Exop - I had 1 Rare Feathers & 4 from Exop. So lovely! Then, Sunday morning we awoke to 12...

Our first little Creve hatched out today! I've thought it was cute since I first saw it this morning, but as the day has gone on, I'm just more and more loving this little puff ball! Just one Creve - the one on the far left. This one is from Rare Feathers. More hatching next week from exop.

Quote: Ha! Me too! I'd load up the kids and drive right over! At 3 days old, not all of them will probably have veining yet, I don't think. I would wait awhile to chuck any eggs Not chucking any yet. Hoping against hope. If one of them wasn't looking so perfect w/ veining, I wouldn't think...

I have 9 eggs in the incubator (our first ever Cevecoeur). I'm sure hoping that we get a pair out of them. Feeling a little down today as when I candled them (only day 3), only 1 is showing clear veining. There are 2 that look like possibles (the yolk is not perfectly round), but the rest all...
