I thnk this one was for me?! The pond (650 gallons-ish) was built for us at cost but still was expensive ... retail this would likely be around $5,000 for the pond and a $2,500-$3,000 for the deck / patio area. The filtration seems to work great and we have a bottom filter that draws about...
Got some really crappy news about my wifes Breast Cancer this week so we completed the patio and added the lighting ... I know they babies are spoiled but I guess that is a good thing!
Well today marks the final days for build and fixing the leaks and while we still need a few flowers (the ducks will obviously eat them too) but it's a wrap!
You can also get a pump that is electric from one of the big box home improvement stores that will have a hose in the pond and a hose doing to where ever you are draining the water ... these are pretty fast for evacuating large gallonage ... costs under $100.
Life fish will come in time ... tomorrow they have to find a leak in the left waterfall and when the whole thing is finally finished fish are in order as a snack. Think that they will be a bit frenetic trying to catch em! We now have a frog or two as they were very loud last night 'croaking'...
What kind of netting did you use on top of the pond. I have to hand something over the pond that we have especially toward the fall as there is so much &)$@ that will fall in to it. Thanks!
The finished pond! Well, Phase I anyway. Our good friend that does landscape and hardscape work is going to add a small retaining wall on the left side of the pond area for a small pad for us to sit and watch Turner and Tucker as the are sooo relaxing to watch, this was all a project of love...
