    Does anyone know about herbs/spices for ducks? I saw something online somewhere that recommended small amounts of oregano or garlic or turmeric as supplements to address various ailments, and I wondering if those were true, and if there were other herbs I can grow at home for them to snack on?

    I think temperature-wise they're doing okay; when they're not being terrified of me, they don't huddle directly under the light or try to avoid it, and the panting only seems to start up when I'm around.     We got 7 runners (born on the 4th) and I feel terrible because they're so scared of me ever since we got them home :( I'm trying to move slowly and stay low and not make eye contact, but still they just huddle on the far side of the brooder and pant whenever I'm around

    Would apple pulp be okay for them? We've got apple trees and we juice most of the fruit we get, and it leaves us with a TON of pulp. It'd be nice to have something productive to do with it, rather than tossing it into compost by the bucketful. Also, would cooked pumpkin puree be okay for babies...
