I don't have any Aussies. One of the more white black and whites is in this picture. I can guarantee they came from the same mother and father. My hens consists of 7 Buff Orpinton, one Barred Rock, two Road Island Reds, and one Cinnamon (Production Red RIRxRIW). Then here are some about a week...

NO, more white. I've also had some roos like that. Recently a hawk got my two month old roos like yours. There's some older pictures poste that look like my more white white and black chick.

Well I have two more blacks with yellow. One hatched last week and the other is a bit older. I also have some that are white and black, I think someone here called them silver. Then I have some that are yellow with a few spots of black.

Here you can see in the middle with two of the BO pure breed siblings. This one you can see the yellow face. I have not determined sex, but you can make out the gold speckled pattern.

I've looked at my black and yellow today, the two month old, and there is yellow on the breast area. I was expecting black with speckles of yellow or stripes of yellow.

Has anyone breed the BOxBR with others having similar color patterns? If so, what were your results?

I have a cross chick, hatched July 27, having yellow on the head and black body. The feathers are growing out mostly black with speckled yellow. Today another chick hatched with yellow on the head. Does anyone like to breed these crosses? Mostly I breed the chicks to sell at swaps.

looks like my BO/BR crosses. If it grows like mine, you will have a mostly white head with black bars shifting into mostly black with some white towards the tail.

On that note. I have a RIR/RIW hen, known as a Cinnamon, Who is mated with my BO rooster. The chicks come out looking just like BO. As they get older, they have dark beaks and spots on the legs. They do resemble BO except their beaks and legs.

I get the BO RIR crosses. You'll find they tend to look like buffs with redish feathers. If lighting is bad you may not be able to tell them apart from the BO.

I get those too. I've kept them for a while before they sold. I can tell you from mine, one roo looked just like the hen color, the yellowish ones grew muddy yellow feathers with some black spots on some feathers, and the white or yellow faces had transition color. That is the heads were mostly...

I've gotten mixed results. I sold all but one. The first one was a female. She grew yellow brown feathers with a few black spots. The second is a rooster and looks like a pure Barred Rock. I sold the week old, she had a yellow head with black & white body. I still have one and is white head...
