Thanks Fluffy. 🙂 I just really don’t want to give Elfen any bad advice. I totally brood all of my incubator Seramas away from the existing flock… until they’re grown… then I go through the whole lengthy integration process. I do the same with my Serama broodies and their chicks.
Filigree the 2nd was one of the last to hatch. Perhaps there was an issue beginning pre-hatch. The egg got cracked and maybe the little one wasn’t really ready to hatch yet.

It’s really going to depend on her acceptance of the chicks. If she fully accepts and protects them, they should be fine with her. But, do you plan on keeping her separate from the flock? I’m really overprotective with my own chicks. I separate the broodies with them until they’re done raising...
