I heard based on their wing feathering you can tell if they're male or female. It's kinda like a 70% thing.

I was using a homemade incubator. So not a big success rate. I think I only have 3 that are still developing and 5 new eggs in storage. All I know are fertilized.

Hey, should I make a little hole for my day 20 egg. It hasn't pipped at all but has moved towards the air cell.

One of them that I thought was dead turned out to be alive and is making it's way to the air cell!

My day 11 egg has been visible since day 3 and now I'm not able to see inside the egg is that normal? My day 12 I just see one distinct vein the leads to the yolk and. My day 18 I just see one big yolk and a hard to see vein inside that yolk. I think I have a few quitters but I'm just going to...

Oh, because a friend said when they're hatching it stinks. But i'm guessing that's not the case based of your answer.

do chickens stink up the room when they hatch?

Is there a wrong way for them to pip? if so what do I do if it that ever happens to me?
