Not really but it acts just like a law and can come with civil penilties provided you live within it jurisdiction. Just like HOAs their rules don't count either if you don't live there and sign the contract. That's called freedom.

Anybody here who thinks rats will die if they eat corn needs to go talk to any grain farmer and he'll tell you otherwise. The reason corn products work with rat poison is because you're giving the rat their food source mixed with poison.

I talked to a professional rodent exterminator once years ago as he was checking the bait boxes around huge warehouses. He told me if he catches one rodent then he has a serious problem of rodent infestation. His job then changes from exterminator to food source locator.

Perfect if I had a rat problem on my farm I don't think it would be a good idea to move the rat food source in the garage unless you just really like rats and mice.

Remember when people's chickens stopped laying. Do you know who made the feed. Better yet do you know who owned the feed manufacturers. Cal Maine foods the largest egg producer in the country. And you think they don't care.

Well, good news, after you clean up the chicken mess and kill all the rats in the neighborhood after a couple years or so you might be able to apply to raise chickens again. But. Beware they will be watching your every move. And you have to be okay with them doing it.
