I wish I was so lucky. I didn't have traffic issues heading home from the eclipse but I left my house at 3:30 for a 5pm vet appointment (drive usually takes an hour) and was still late!

We lucked out. It's a little cloudy but nor enough to block the sun. I made peanut butter and pickle sandwiches and a place just around the corner is selling ice cream!

I made the decision to travel to see the eclipse this afternoon. The northern edge of the totality is SO close! Like, we drive there all the time to go to Menard's. Im kidnapping my 70yo mother and bringing her along for the adventure. I just hope I can get back home in time to make the vet...
