It is very likely something else was wrong, there was nothing else you could do, you gave the little one supprortive care and that's the only thing any of us could have done no matter if you're just starting out or had chicks for 50 years.

That's wonderful on the 16 that have hatched! Stay focused on the positives! Chicken keeping is so wonderful, but also comes with challenges.

The waiting after the first pip is antagonizing!!!!! They can pip and wait for 24 hours before continuing to zip. It's always crazy when there's one pipped you're waiting on for ever and then you'll look around and see someone zipping! Some chicks take their time and others are sure in a hurry 🥰
