You can DE the coop but I believe they need a host to survive. Spray your birds taking away the host and the birds will be protected for about 30 days. In about 2 or 3 weeks spray them again and that should solve the problem. Years ago I had a problem with mites or lice and I DE my coop and...

Frontline spray! Spray them once behind their neck with the tip pressed up against them and once again by their vent in the same manner. Repeat in two weeks if you want but I have never had to. Chris
