Not to be that guy, but beaver hides are going for like 30 USD (40 CAD) each for 30 beavers and a sack of grain could get you something pretty nice haha.
I like air guns my only issue is I prefer vintage guns lol. most air guns are too modern for my taste, I really got bitten by old sporting guns and double barrel shotguns.
I don't shoot pistols or have any (unless you count air pistols lol) do to our current government :(
but got some reloading supplies for my 9.3x57 on the way, hoping to load up a nice round for bear hunting this spring.
thanks, we seem to have a ton of these old Husqvarna guns (or just guns from Sweden in general) on a few of our surplus sites, I would love to know why so many got imported to Canada , but there all hunting guns at good condition.
picked up a Husqvarna sporting Mauser in 9.3x57, think it will make a really nice bear gun.
but got to say wow the bore looks like it has never been shot once and its dated 1941
Had to slap my hands the other day, was looking around at guns and came across the smallest over and under I have ever seen, at only 23 inches overall length!
thought it might make a nice bear gun but I don't really need another bear defense gun. its called the SS 211 (for any Canadians here...
your not the only one haha, i seemed to have to buy new scopes for my hunting guns and they are not cheap,
i like shooting iron sights but my best gun with iron sites happens to be a flintlock lol.
i picked up an old antique 16 gauge pinfire shotgun, was really the only gun i got this year. price was right (under 200 bucks and in shooting condition) for a gun from like the 1840-50s seemed like a good deal.
very nice! one less masked bandit around!
no big game hunting with air guns here, can only use them for furbearers, upland game birds and small game. which gives a lot of hunting. (with no limit on caliber meaning i guess that .72 cal one would be legal for grouse lol)
Thank you so much!
this answers a lot of my questions, i will look into the air force, and i did not expect so much from a .25 cal airgun (i was thinking of having to buy like a .22 cal and maybe a .30 or .357 for my needs) so that saves my a lot of money from me first thought lol.
sorry should of made that point clear, i only own air pistols at the moment which have to be under 500fps by law here.
air rifles have no power limit if you own/have a fire arm permit up here.
mind if i ask you a question on air guns?
am debating on maybe getting an airgun for my trapline/hunting furbearers. idea i have is they would deal less damage to the pelt then a powder burner?
targets would range from squirrel to coyotes/lynx.
my guess there is no single caliber that just...
that is really cool, the ammo and boxes go for a lot of money up here, its crazy.
for example an almost full box of 25 rim costs as much if not more then most guns that shoot it. (last time i checked about 250-300 CAD) my cooey cost me $110 2-3 years ago lol
anyone else into big bore rim fires.
am talking .25, .30, .32, .38, .41 rimfire.
got one or two of them. yet to have time but hoping to bring my 25 cal cooey rifle into action for a rabbit or grouse hunt one year.
are Canadians allowed to join this thread? just got back from deer hunting (no luck though).
I use my guns for hunting and trapping. with a few just for bear defense of my honey bees.
got to love the short barreled shot guns (on the sad side they only had 14 inch barrels when i bought mine was...
