That's what I thought, but this rooster has yellow shanks, while sapphire gems should have slate. Also, Sapphire Gem roosters have barring on their feathers so they're easily distinguishable from hens. :D I'm probably wrong in a lot of ways though.

My initial thought was blue Australorp, but the shank color is wrong. He could potentially be a mix. Is he a standard size?
