Yes, hopefully she'll lay a fair amount. We used to have them but sadly they died/ got eaten by a fox. Now we've fixed the coop dad's letting me get a rooster so I figured I might as well get a hen while I'm at it. Breed them and get some more chicks I suppose. :oops:

I'm getting an Australorp hen and rooster. I've already got other chooks but they're not australorps. Ones an Australorp x New Hampshire though.

I am living through these cuties until my duck eggs hatch on Friday. Can't wait. Everyone has such cute chicks. It makes me want some too. At least I'm getting a rooster soon so I can.

I only just saw this. I’m actually putting Roan/Runner eggs in this afternoon (as well as a single turkey) but I’m too late to hatch on Halloween. I suppose I’ll try next year or Easter. Good luck to those who are doing it this year!
