    I toss a bale of cow hay in the feed shed and let them chew at it. 5 bucks a bale…. Works good.

    They are designed to go through the mesh. An opening as big as the trough part. The wire on each side clip into the mesh so it doesn’t fall over backwards leaving a hole in side of cage.
