The blueberry in disguise trick has worked well for my chickens, too. Raisins undercover might work as well - I just remembered a Ronald Dahl story where it worked on some pheasants, anyway.
Sally, your pantries are not only full but organized like a magazine pic!
My bantam hen laid her 102nd consecutive egg today! I have been able to track her since Sept 30 when she resumed after a dry spell. She has far outstripped all of her former egg laying records. I told her to take a break, but she always seems to favor the winter months!
Today I had a heated discussion with my bantam hen. I'm not sure what it was about, but I know I convinced her of nothing. There was a lot of volume and very little accomplished. Reminded me of why I usually just let my rooster deal with her & her strong opinions on subjects unknown 🙃
They look like they would make fabulous barn cats - all 3, and you couldn't call them the Triple Threat Trio if you only get two ;)
Happy late 26th anniversary!
I started folding socks like this, which somehow made my sock drawer seem happier today. Also had a yellow finch and female cardinal *finally* visit the birdfeeder. No hummers yet!
Watching the Big Bear Valley live Bald Eagle Cam made me happy today! Even though the eagles are having some trouble with their eggs this year, I still find them to be pretty mesmerizing creatures to observe.
