    It kinda looks like a plane trying (emphasis on the trying) to take off...! Oh sweet, I guess that's because they're bigger birds. The light sussexs also really struggle with flapping because they're pretty huge compared to most of my others but that never stops them trying :lau

    Yeah fair point! They're easily the best of my birds... it's so funny to watch them take off when they're out free ranging and all the others attempt to follow; but with them it's more of a run with the wings going 100mph!

    I have two (as you'll see by my signature) and as with yours, they're both totally mad. Hazel adores one of my other girls - the alpha hen, called Tansy. I think Tansy rather likes the attentio. The other, Pecan, is really tame and has the craziest habits. Whenever she hears the back door open...
