Sweet. I not only saw that - I kept watching that over, and over, and over ... Lol! Observational learning plays a huge role in my pigeon flock as well. I believe each flock develops cultural behaviors that are passed down and transmitted to new members. Do Olive and Skittles get along well?

Very typical YB behavior, IMO. :-) Re single bird color - Check out Adam Archer's YT videos on Indigo and Andalusian color genetics. He is also launching a new site, Pigeon genetics.com.

I sent my squeakers to their new homes at ~32 days for the first 3 I raised this year. I like to make sure they are eating and drinking well on their own. I provide seed mix and water and grit in the nest box so they learn early from watching their parents. By this time they should be feathered...

That's odd, Are you wanting to compete in young bird races this year? Anyway, as long as they are seamless life rings they should be fine I think. I tried googling to find out more but didn't find much. I'm guessing HKPA may stand for Hong Kong Pigeon Association.

When I started fresh with 3 squeakers they hung around on the high points of the roof, scanning the surroundings and just fluttering a bit for a week or so before they really took off. You can never really be sure what will happen. Watch out for hawks/predators til they get wise to danger. Best...

Trap train them first. I have started loft flying at 6 weeks or so before they get too strong on the wing. At first they won't fly much but just look around. This is good so they get dialed in to home before they fly too far. Are they joining experienced flyers or will they be on their own?

Good to hear he is eating a sufficient amount of food. Pigeons are smart enough to habituate quickly. If you just move slowly and quietly and speak friendly he is unlikely to be much stressed. Even if he flaps and pecks at you, he is not necessarily panicked. Try giving him some unsalted...

Just Google "how to trap a pigeon", she will come down from the roof for food and water. Edit added. I had one of my pigeons trap himself in a trap I was planning to bait for predators. It didn't even have any food in it at the time! Lol
