I swear the pigeons gave me the same expression as a spoiled child watching for someone cut the crust off their bread.

Picky pigeons WILL NOT eat wet food They wait by the door anxiously watching as I scoop out the wet food (it stormed yesterday night) and replace it with dry food Lovebird has no such qualms. She is the size of a pigeon, so pigeon food seems right to her. (She was sort of malnourished as a...

He’s crazy about those seeds! My friend told me about how his friend’s lovebird did parthogenesis. Apparently that was rare enough a scientist came in to study it.

Wow! She really looks a lot like a Portuguese Tumbler now without the scale! That irridescence is amazing! I can speculate all day, of course, but as to breed, I suspect she is a pet quality Portuguese Tumber so on the larger side.

Sounds big for a Portuguese tumbler if your grackles are like the ones around here. The ones in Puerto Rico were pretty small though. Only other thing I can think of is an English Tumbler with a longer beak.

Only Portuguese tumblers are very small and I’ve never seen a brown one but maybe it’s a big one and they can be any color.

How big is it? It looks like a type of tumbler based on eyes and beak. Closest breed in my mind is Portuguese tumbler

After like a week. If he already has a wife though the abuse to the strange pigeon does not stop. I have...

https://www.pigeontype.info/2018/05/01/old-austrian-tumbler-pigeons/ This is all I know. Sometimes I see pictures of them and think they’re very cute but I had to scour the internet to find which breeds had that pattern.

I’m a big fan of the white design on Old Austrian Tumblers. Very aesthetically pleasing white belly. Reminds me of a penguin, 10/10. Also their shape is adorable. Would be an interesting pattern on a Chinese owl.

That's good to know! I know most of the basics but there are so many white marking genes I can't keep track of them.

I have no guesses, pure white is recessive and hides whatever genetics the bird might have so there is no knowing what will come from it!
