    Your chick needs to be fully feathered in order to go outside, usually a minimum of six weeks old. Then, if your chick is going to be alone, with no friends to snuggle up to and share body heat, I'd add another couple of weeks to that. Then it would need to be 'hardened off' by having 'visits'...
