You have water glassed eggs that are a year old? Please don't throw them out! I've eaten water glassed eggs that were over two years old, they were great! Scrambled, omelets, or in baking, they have uses. Even dehydrating them would be better than tossing them

I would be afraid that the lime could mess up the compost. Maybe not but I toss mine. I save the normal shells to put in my garden but toss the lime ones

I preserve my eggs in water glass solution every year. I would not give the shells back to the girls
