You've got some stunning EE eggs would love to see some pics of your flock.
Unfortunately part of our 25 predator losses this year were two of our nicest EE layers. Hoping to get more in the future. We do have one pullet from the same hatchery that we bought this year that hasn't started laying...
Oh no! I'm so sorry. That is so much to have on your plate. Very odd the way you found the meat birds where do you live? What predators are around you? Praying for you and your family. And sending hugs too!
Beautiful! I may have a chance to hatch some whiting true blues here soon. What's your impression of them? I know theyre supposed to be flighty, I'm hoping if handled a lot as chicks that might lessen. Do they pick on each other? We have a very docile flock.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. It can be so hard but you definitely have her mercy. We had a pullet that was fine one minute three minutes later we found her dead with her intestines and half of her liver out. We've no idea what happened to her. There was no blood either which was odd and no...
Yesterday was 18!!! A full 18!!! Now one is cracked and a few were on the floor so are a bit dirty but I don't care! We've been getting 4-8 eggs most days between pullets and molt and now just finally got in the last three days 10, 9 and then 18 eggs! That's more than we've had in months it also...
10 on Thursday but I set one down to do waters and it disappeared so I'm thinking one of our dogs stole it. Lol.
Not sure how many are actually laying, most aren't, but they're getting there. We have 8 large fowl girls that are molting right now and three bantams. The eggs from yesterday...
Got a new layer unfortunately she layed on a wooden shelf and the tip broke. I should have kept it for pictures but tossed it. It was a stunning pink egg. I'm thinking light Brahma or speckled Sussex. Idk though could be one of several.
Well ladies and gents today we got 6 or 9 I can't remember.
One of our chocolate English Orpington girls layed her first egg today a shell less egg out in the middle of the yard. Lol so she's a bit confused. She's 21.5 weeks and I'm oh so proud. The egg was of a decent size in spite of it being...
I completely see your point of course but we want to be out of debt and start our lives together debt free.
It is something we have been considering more and more and more.
Well we have gotten four eggs so far today including the second for sure egg from our Easter hatch chick, Super Chick. We may have one older chick laying and I believe we do but I can not confirm it so I won't claim it.
Either way the spring chickens are beginning to lay and I'm so proud!!! We...
I would love to see pics of your ameraucana!
Praying for you both and your families I hope you don't mind. We had to place my Grandpa in a facility last December for Alzheimer's. I've helped be his care taker and I lived with my grandparents for 4 years before moving in with my future...
